No, silly, its got nothing to do with the MLA. We're welcoming him back to the Mac community! He used to have a Performa, but then he got a PC.

Heh, thanks guys! I'm really enjoying Mouse Practice (even though it's in black and white.......)

I just installed The Oregon Trail onto it, which was another game that I spent hours playing back when I had my old Macintosh. When I'm really bored, I'll install everything from all the other old disks I still have.

And who knows, maybe I'll even use it to go on the internet (I still have an AOL version 2.6 installation disk, LOL).

Thanks again Derek for selling me a computer with that wonderful game Mouse Practice on it!

Naw, it's not the monitor that's black and white, it's the game itself (which is odd because on my old Mac, Mouse Practice was in color). Everything else on the Mac is in color. Eh, oh well. It may be in black and white, but it's still the same ol' game I played about 8 years ago.

I installed Mouse Practice from an At Ease 1.0.1 install .img…
so it could be that it's just so old they didn't have the color version…
[the LC III has 8mb RAM, 80mb HD, OS 7.5, an Ethernet card, Apple 12" RGB monitor, Apple Extended keyboard II, and an ADB Mouse I]

and the pram batt isn't dead since it still starts up in color and doesnt mention the clock

Humm… Cory, do you have the color version?

AFAIK, there was no B&W version, only a colour version.

Then why is there a file called "B & W Movie" [another copy that I threw away wouldnt launch with out it…]

but it still runs in B/W on my 9500/G3/300, and the lowest I can switch to is 256 grays [I started the game on 256 grays and then switched to 256 colors after it opened; still B/W]

The B&W file was there to make it compatible with compact Macs, but by the time Mouse Practise came out, colour Macs had been out for quite a few years.

Oh… then I guess that someone threw away the color file when they made the image…

I dunno, but in '95, we got a brand spanking new LC575 that had some variant of System 7.1 on it in our classroom, and it had it.
