First off, I'd like to apologise for my long absence from these forums. I have been busy doing other things, like registering for college, and oogling my new mac. for those that speak to me on AIM, I have been there, but have been neglecting these forums something awful.

well, I have a new mac as well...I'm not going to tell you what it is, so guess away...

for those that I have already told, dont jump in and spoil it.... (yes you, Cory, ML5, etc.)

anyway, heres a few hints:

1) it is brand new
2) it has a G4 Processor
3) it has an LCD screen
4) I typed this on it

let the guessing begin!

In which case it's either a Cube (very cool) or a PowerMac (cool).

Please note hint #1, which says that the mac is brand new, ruling out the cube.

and SVP? you forgot one other product line...

It has to be a 17 inch Powerbook. Having one of those would keep me very, very busy oogling it

Second guess would be a 12 inch Powerbook (almost as cool)

lol.. .I guess that that's true...

ahwell... congradulations on the cool new mac though!
albeit, I could never love anything more than my current 15" TiBook, and wouldn't ever imagine replacing it directly with anything but whatever'll be the 15" AlBook, but even then... I woudln't think it right...

Thanks for the cookie! Enjoy the 17 inch Powerbook. That is great way to start college. The teacher in me says, "Don't forget to crack the occasional <text>book."

It's such a small world - and the West Coast is a great place to live

OMG!

you _DO_NOT_ know how heavy those things are!!!

I have a whopping THREE of them! and these aren't any old thing like Integrated Mathematics 1.0 or 2.0, this is 'Modern Biology' 'Geometry' (and the somewhat smaller,) "Glencoe Health"

I have them all in this messenger bag, and I've already broken one just like it within 5 days of being brand new... and that was just with two of those in it!

/me faints...

I love textbooks, and I enjoy using them to help myself learn... but carrying them is not something i love to do on an everyday basis...

alas... I must...

where on/in/around the west coast do you live?

Do what I did, find a spare book somewhere, like laying around in your classroom and take it home and use that copy at home. And then just your issued copy at school and just leave it in your locker at night. Works really well because teachers always seem to leave a couple of spare book laying around for kids who forget theirs. Its not stealing as long as you remember to bring it back at the end of the semester.
