PowerBooks:

156
160
180

Most have RAM upgrades, hard drives, floppies etc.

External HD Case, lots of 8MB 72-Pin RAM, 4MB RAM, VRAM. (If people are looking for 30 Pin RAM let me know!!!! I can get 'em cheap like a buck for a nice bag of em.)

I got SCSI cables, Terminators (external ones, the ones they like to sell to you for 25 bucks new), Cables, PhoneNET adapters, Global Village Teleport II Gold, Keyboards, Mice, 1GB Hard Disk (has some bad sectors and is flaky, but maybe a quick google search can fix that).

Got an Ethernet card for Maxine, and put an 8MB chip in her with a 256KB VRAM chip, so she is happy. All she needs is a PRAM battery.

Not exactly 68K but snagged a nice 604e 200Mhz UMAX CPU Card, might come in handy for any folks who have a 601 or 603 based PowerMac who need a quick cheap boost in speed.

I also got the cables for the Powerbooks like SCSi Adapter and Video cable, which usually are not cheap....Also got a cable to hook up a PC Monitor to a Mac, which will help out from time to time.

All that for 50 bucks (Canadian) (That also includes the tonne of software I got, much of which isn't cheap, like Office 4 and Illustrator, plus I got a bunch of kid's titles for my client for when his granddaughter visits.)

And there is still more to be gotten as soon as I get more money and time to visit this place.

The Mac Market, here in Vancouver. I know one of the people who works there and actually might get a job working for them.

I can get 6100's and 7200's for free basically. (They make perfect community computers like in my apartment block where we are setting up a computer lab for folks to use.)

Let me know if there are anything you are looking for I can prob order it up cheap if it's used.

Are in the Vancouver (GVRD) area or are you way out of the city? I may be able to hook you up with some other people with good Mac stuff

I live in Delta, but I take the bus to 2710 West 4Th Street to the Mac Market to get stuff.

So, by bus I can pretty much go anywhere. It depends on what you can hook me up with. I might have to get someone to pick stuff up since unless it;s like laptops or parts etc., It prob will be too much for the bus.

But I am looking for a whole bunch of stuff for a computer lab for the apartments here I live in, so anything Mac wise is great, they just got given to them a 20" Mac Monitor.

well it seems that there is a great concentration of MLAers in the Lower Mainland area. I am right now in Powell River, where is everyone else?
I will be going back to Los Angeles for school on wednesday, but will be back up the creek this winter.

anyway, who else lives in the lower mainland area of BC? who lives anywhere in BC?
has any MLAer been evacuated from their homes because of the fires?

well, thats all...
