I want to tell you all of my recent adventures w/old Macs and the internet! This first one involves a 'lowly' LC II, an Ethernet card, and Internet Explorer 2.01.The Specs:
- LC II, '030 @ 16Mhz
- 8Mb RAM
- Farallon 10base-T PDS Ethernet card
- 512K VRAM, providing 256 colors at 640X480, just enough for viewing
- VM cranked to 14MB, yes, I love living dangerously
Why did I do this? Because a lot of people had snuffed this machine as an old, 'useless' machine. Boy, they sure were in for a shock when they saw this sucker going! What have you guys accomplished like this, 'pushing the limits' so to speak?Brigadier MacScuzzy 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Total 68K Macs liberated:5 |

Once I receive my Ethernet MicroDock in the mail (should be any day now) I'm going to hook my Duo 280 up to the T1 at work and surf the web in Netscape 2.0 on a 640x400 4-bit greysca;e screen! Now that's livin' the good life... Private EL CINE 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Master of the Mac II series forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 4 |
