Found this one at a local surplus store.

The only officially licensed 68k Mac clone company.

Has a slide-out card with a 68030, 68882 (33mhz) and 16mb RAM.

The ROMs are 24-bit Mac SE on a SIMM, and the screen shows a kangaroo logo at boot. The SIMM looks to be the same as the kind used in a IIcx, IIci, IIsi, IIfx... but all the IIsi and IIfx ROM SIMMs I have are too tall to fit.

Has a 2.5" IDE hard drive inside (120mb) with bootable system. It also has an external SCSI port.

Has this wierd roller bar for mouse control. It's terrible. Fortunatrely there's an ADB port on the back.

Anyone have drivers for this laptop newer than version 1.3 they could share?

I have an Outbound 2030E -- only 25 MHz 68030, 80 MB IDE drive, and no 68882 yet. The ROM would be from a Plus, SE, or Classic on a special 30-pin SIMM carrier. Tom Owad over on Applefritter has some excellent pages dedicated to the Outbound, including pictures of two of the different ROM chip carriers.

Does your Outbound recognize all 16 MB of its RAM? Mine only sees 14 MB of 16 MB of RAM and the compnay brochures that I have seen suggest 14 MB is the max.

Have fun with your clone.
