I put the deposit on my new baby yesterday, and I think he is coming home today..

I bought a 1952 Dodge M37, as my first car

The M37 is a military truck, the precursor to the HMMWV (known affectionatly to us as "hummers")

I will post piccies of it when I get piccies taken, and you can oogle over its power and its glory.

fun fact: the M37 can go up a 60% grade with a 1500lb payload in Low gear. It can also ford creeks/water bodies that are 42" deep without any hassle. for deeper water, you would buy the fording kit, and you can practically immerse the truck and it'll still run.

well, piccies coming

BTW, this is the second M37 in the family, I will take piccies of Hrothgar, the one we currently are restoring. Hrothgar belongs to my stepfather.

So what do you want that truck for? A jeep is probably better for offroading, and a newer truck is more comfortable I would assume.
