On my new PowerBook 520 I would like to listen to MP3s but I have only 4Mbs RAM and MpegDec won't run on that 4, so I thought I could just record them from my Quadra to my 520 with SimpleText, well it works and sounds great but I can only do 25sec So I need a app that allows me to record as much as I want, can you guyz tell me where to get it? Thanks

Heh i know, but by the sound of it, i don't really think it was neglected by its previous owner, so therefore it doesn't count as liberated. Case closed

Have you EVER seen such an EXTREME case of ABUSE/NEGLECT? Do you think you can help Ti in his valiant efforts to liberate this terribly ABUSED Mac? What kind of fiend (besides APPLE!*cheap B@$****$) would ever force a lobotomized CPU to run OS 7.x.x.? This poor thing needs medical attention!

What you need is an app that records to disk, as opposed to RAM like many apps do. There's an old, slim app that does this, though I don't recall the name of it.

Try SndSampler. I used to record sound through my Powerbook Microphone to my PB 145 (with 4MB of RAM). I could get around 3 minutes before the hard drive was full.
