How loud are those babies? Does it sound like an airplane taking off when they spin up? I used to have an old HP 1 gig full height and that is exactly what it sounded like.Quadra 950, Workgroup Server 9150, Performa 6400, Powerbook 2300c, 4x Quadra 700's, iBook |

I dun know about the drives being slod here, but the ones I got are accually pritty quiet for such large drives (I have 2.5" drives that are louder!) hehehehehhe. if these are similar (which they are, seagate) then they shouldn't be that bad, alltho they are likely to be older than the 47GB onesThnxnxx "spread that love.. Still waiting for mine, but I live in Canada so these days customs will most likely send the drive to a clean room, have it dismantled...check it for explosives, then re-assemble it with the read/write heads on backwards and send it back with a big "OK" stamp in green on it.It's OK folks, it's US Goverment approved!
