But you have to pay shipping via US Mail. I will calculate from zipcode 89123 to your region of the world.

Are you talking about the 5.25 FH monsters? Are they in an external case or bare?

Or maybe 2. I will pay for shipping if you can mark me for 2 at least.

Thanks, this will make a perfect new drive for the archive server.

YOU! yes ALL OF YOU! go to www.surpluscomputers.com and go to the section with the hard drives you will find 47GB seagate hard drives for 30$ each! (full hight 5.25") or four of them for 100$! all kinds of kicka$$ deals there! I bought from them, all my drives work great! my 7500 is maxxed out on speed (but rhapsody don't like ultrawide...)

How loud are those babies? Does it sound like an airplane taking off when they spin up? I used to have an old HP 1 gig full height and that is exactly what it sounded like.

I dun know about the drives being slod here, but the ones I got are accually pritty quiet for such large drives (I have 2.5" drives that are louder!) hehehehehhe. if these are similar (which they are, seagate) then they shouldn't be that bad, alltho they are likely to be older than the 47GB ones

Still waiting for mine, but I live in Canada so these days customs will most likely send the drive to a clean room, have it dismantled...check it for explosives, then re-assemble it with the read/write heads on backwards and send it back with a big "OK" stamp in green on it.

It's OK folks, it's US Goverment approved!
