Have any of you aussies out there managed to pull this one off?

From the small amount of research I've done, it seems that Bigpond cable is unusual in that it requires a client app (launchpad) to be running for a connection to be active. The supplied mac client specifies OS8.6 or greater... a bit out of reach for the Q800. Not sure if it's fat or not either.

Do I need to connect thru a ppc using IPnetrouter? or can I go direct?

Current score:
1 Apple //e
1 Quadra 800
1 Powermac 6100

I'd use IPNetRouter, since it'd probably be too much trouble to get past the client program without violating your ToS.
