I just got a Palm and i wana sell it for a Newton 130 or 2000. Does anybody have a size up of like a newton and palm next to each other so i can see the size difference? What about specs, i cant find specs on Palm m100, is the 130 equal speed or should i just go with the Newton 2000? Thanks

The Newtons are a lot larger than Palms, but all of them are a lot more powerful or the same as all but the top model Palms.

The 2000 models will own any Palm you care to name!
I own a 130, and it rocks.

Every Newton except the 2XXX series had a 20 Mhz 610 ARM processor (the 2000 and 2100 had 162Mhz strongARM processors). The 130 (high end 1XX series model) had 2.5 MB of RAM, the 2100 had 8MBs. In comparison, my Palm IIxe has 8 MBs of RAM and a 16 Mhz Dragonball-EZ processor (I think it is the 6805?), and newer models have up to 33 Mhz processors and 16 MBs + storage expansion capabilities. The m100 has 2 MBs of RAM and a 16 Mhz processor.
My suggestion: A 130 would be great for a simple note-taking machine, you can probably get one off Ebay for $50 with a keyboard and carrying case. If you want thousands of available apps, keep your palm. Processor speed DOESN'T MATTER, because it is a PDA. An Emate would be really awesome, but they are very rare and can go up to $300+.

I want to upgrade to a Newton 130 or 2000 so I can use my schools wireless T1 and I need it for my 68k Digital Hub project. Can anyone tell me like in relation to something else the size of the Newton 2xxx (i.e. normal cracker jack box, 3.5' Hd, things like that) I don't care too much bout the apps cause I have found more than enough applications for a Newton. Thanks!

Thansk soo much! Thats exactly what I wanted, I've decided that the slight increase in size of the Newton is well worth it, so I'm going start putting a little aside for a 2000, thanks for all your guy's help!
