I have a program due on Thursday for my Object Oriented programming class. I estimate that it will take about 10 hours to complete and I have not even stated on it. I just can't get my self motivated to get started on it. I really should have just taken the summer off. I'm just so burned out on school right now. My family is going out of town for a week and half at the end of next week. Hopefully a week and half of pizza, beer and the stereo turned up too loud can help me find my mojo.

I really need to find a project to work on. If nothing should at least it should distract me from all of bs I have had to deal with lately.

Why don't you help me with MLAgazine? I need some quadra type articles...

Cinemafia is going to write me up an overview of how he powered up his Quadra (who got that monstermac anyway? they're really lucky and should write a review of it)

If you know anything about kernel design and implementation, we can sure use you for the llama-X Project (http://llama-x.digitalnn.com/) if not we can still use some more people to come up with ideas...

We are working on the design of the kernel and UI before we code anymore, but we do have a working bootloader

I know nothing about kernel design but I would love to learn. Cory I do have an idea for an article. I have got a Quadra 800 that is doing nothing. Perhaps I could do an article on installing and setting up A/UX. Or maybe Linux 68k which I think might be better. As it would have more usefulness to it.

Sounds good, redrouteone. I've had similar problems to you before, and i find that a good project, such as A/UX or a good hack often tends to help.

You can grab AUX from my server to put on that machine if you don't have it. There are updates listed as well, should be everything you need to get the Mac up and running.

Yeah, it'll work on nearly any Quadra, except the 605.

and! :sniffles: the AV quadras such as the Quadra 840av and 660av.

I hear that there's also something barring people from running it well on Mac IIFX machines... either that or A/UX takes special advantage of the IIFX serial controllers... forgot which.

I've tried to do Portals(TM) but I don't think that I'm really able to do that on my own... at that level at least...

Portals(TM) isn't even exactly what llama's doing anyway... the idea was that we were building off of a linux kernel (because the Xserver that someone wanted to use didn't work with darwin or something)....

Oh, yes, forgot about the AV Quadras. Is the IIfx supported by Apple to run A/UX? Just wondering.

I managed to get about an hours worth of work in on my program. I am just so stressed out right now that it is nearly impossible to concentrate. I did manage to get a couple of my problems straightened out so that should help. I am just going to forget about getting anymore work done today. Just going to try and relax. I would just turn off the computer but I have been chatting with a girl online and I am hoping that she will be on line tonight.

Bit off topic, what is AU/X like to use?

I have managed to make a lot of progress on my program today. I have the worst of it done and only have little pidly stuff to do. I have been working on it for about 4 hours today and have gotten 95% of it done. Now just the other 5% that also takes 4 hours. Long enough of a break I had better get back to work.

oh, fedorenko... A/UX is WONDERFUL to use!

it's very stable, it'll run on alot of Quadras and most MacII series machines...

it was designed to be a server OS for apple's AWGS 95, for the Mac IIFX and just in general most macs

the hardest part about it is that it's more 'unix' and getting down & drity with the unix junk...

and getting it installed

WOOHOO it is finished. And now I am going to bed. And this weekend I should hopefully be able to set up the quadra.
