You think you can block me, and let this not continue, think again get back on AIM so we can finish this, or I will make that whole chat public.

Cory destroyed MLA 2.0, thus killing hours of work, bandwidth that >I< pay for, and 3 days of the time of 26 other people. I'm not going to stoop to his level and call him names and threaten him, but he's probably going to be in a great deal of trouble over it. That's to let everyone know that vicious things you do like that can come back to haunt you ;)

I've already apologised to catsdorule, and once again, we're on good terms... I don't know if there's anything that either of us could do to make us actually hate, or really want to not be friends....

I really am sorry for what i did last night, but antipex had excommunicated me in any other way, suspended me from that forum, and had insulted me many times...

I would like to see all relationships hurt come back together... but that requires both parties to agree... I'm working really hard tonight to apologise to people....

but let me present some of my part of this...

this wasted at least 20 of my online hours, and that's just before it was created, during that time, I've been less active here, and in every other way... yes, I'm pathetic... my life centers around my TiBook, and around the MLA the 4 hours every day I'm on the internet... but that's because I just moved, and haven't had the opportunity to make friends.

Hey Cory, I know what it's like to have a life centered around computers. I know what it's like to move and have no friends. I can tell you from experience though, don't waste your teenage life online. I spent a lot of time online when I was in high school, but when you get ready for college and life you realize that it wasn't worth anything. No one will care what you had to say in forums, and all the latest software and technology will be computer history in a few years.
Why don't you just shut down your computer for a week, and try life without it. It'll show you just how much time you can waste doing absolutely nothing. Try going outside at least, or go to a mall or something; go somewhere where you'll be doing something useful and meet people. Just give it a try, it's worth it.

or be like me! i'm a skilled microsoft & PC user.
I can fix your pc as long as it's a software problem.

but i do have many friends. i drum for my band,
i used to skateboard (broken my klavikel bone),
used to breakdance (beat that!). but now i'm mainly
a drummer. because as life goes on, you goes on
and now i realized that the skateboarding and breakdancing
is just a phase in my life. but my passion for drumming is
still cool! my band covers bands like blink 182, deftones
and muse.

i don't know how i can mix my social life with my computer life.
but it mixs well and i'm proud to say that i'm happy with it.

so my advice to those who live around personal computers,
try to go outside and play. there's a lot of things you can do
that does'nt need others to help. pick a guitar and learn how to play it. watch mtv. talk about bands & music. that way you would have more friends with the same interest as you are. and if others don't understand you, ignore them. get a girlfriend. get good friends that'll help you no matter what you're problems are. that hang arounds with you. go watch a movie together. we do that in malaysia!

please ignore my post if you're life don't revolve around computers.
i just post with the intention of helping others. and if it doesn't, i'm so sorry. hehehe. that's all for now. thanks for your time.

I just moved recently, within the past 3 months to Kingman, AZ, and last february I moved to Mojave Valley, AZ.

I had an UberLife in Washingon I'm proud to say, I spent less total time online, and had loads of friends at school, and even rode my bike places.

In Kingman, I've had a whopping 4 days at the end of the school year to meet people...

My bike is yet to be unpacked...

I plan on making friends, and changing my image a little bit for the better...

cutting my hair, losing some weight and maybe even like... "growing up" and junk...

I want to color my hear a bit When i was in 8th grade, I made my hair orangeish and everyone liked it.

Look at that, 7 seconds too late . Is there scenery in Arizona? I thought it was barren wasteland.... If you feel like posting some pics of Malaysia I'd sure like to see them. All I ever see is pictures from a Geography textbook .

from washington? or from my new home?

I have some piccies I can scan of here... and I have some piccies on some CDs from WA..

Washington is great because it rains alot, it has loads of greenery and all sorts of interesting tech companies...

Arizona is hot and dry and windy, but it's interesting to get to know as many places as you can right? and I can still talk to the people in WA who I hold dear :P

almost all of my friends in WA have eMail and AIM... so I talk with alot of them regluarly, and have even made NEW friends that live in Wa over the internet... weird huh?

anyway... I've basically cleared things up with antipex(tizio) and catsdorule... I feel like I've had an accomplished night....

This is another flame bait.

This MLA 2 and personal garbage are getting out of hand. I suggest kindly yet firmly to all parties that you deal with it in a private matter, if someone did something to you to upset you or did something out of hate or malice, do not lower yourself to the same tactics and threaten to make the whole thing public.

This is another thread I suggest a moderator lock, and recommend that any future threads like this be locked on first sight, because as a member of this 68KMLA, "the" place to chat about 68k's, I don't want to wade through people's personal lives and thier hatred or contempt for others when I could read about 68K Macintoshes.

This makes about the fourth of fifth topic in the last week or so that has been out of line. I'm no moderator, but I want to pass some advice to members.

I'm 23 years old and have been through alot of stuff like this.

Cory, I remember being your age and full of ideas, and I remember doing alot of stupid things that even thinking of them now, it makes me shudder a bit in embaressment. But I also learned that to be truly succsessfull in life, you must lead a balanced life. Having and making friends is key. Computers are easier yes, but they don't last.

Catsdorule, I can understand the problems between you and cory at times, but trying to solve this issue in public only make sit worse. If there is going to be a whole bunch of problems, it wouldn't hurt to just stay clear of each other for maybe a week and let things cool of. Lots of time I might have a rough patch with my friends, but give it a week of chill out time and then things are fine.

Lastly, to basically anyone out there, If you have issues with anyone, don't handle it in a way that people are bound to remember you by in a bad way. Sometimes in life it's required to bite your lip and take any insult or actions against you and move on, because if you always look for "justice" or "victory" you will never have any completeness, because these things don't always exists in the world we live in.

Last note to a moderator to please close this thread as it will only draw more attention than it deserves.

Also, to those I wrote to, please don't reply, let's just let it die for real this time, and we can all sit back, take a breather for a week or two, talk about some good 68k macs, liberate a few and enjoy life in the mac zone.

Hey, having a life that revolves around computers is often the best thing to do when you go to a shitty boarding school where everyone hates you. Last year, my only real friend was my lovely iMac 333. But now, thank god I go to a very good university, where everyone is nice to me, and I have more good friends than I have ever had, and go out partying every night. Life is good, and i can almost say that i thank my iMac for it....without that thing i'd probably either be dead (suicide), or on drugs, or somethign like that.

I don't know about that. People are capable of over-coming hardships in their lives when they need and/or want to. Your own character is what will help to pull you through. The one area where you may be right on your iMacs influence is it gave you the ability to express yourself here and other places throughout the web. It certainly can help people break out of their shell when they can see that their involvement is wanted and appreciated.

yeah, lets try to keep all the flaming stuff out of the Lounge...

I hereby officially offer The Flameatorium at the Kevcave forums for you guys to settle whatever you need to. I can make it your board, where only you uys have access, and every time you get into fights, you can head over and say whatever the hell you want to.

I agree, it is kinda taking over the 68kMLA (flamewars about cats and cory) and, while im not taking sides in the matter, i would appreciate it if you use AIM or something...

EDIT: this is probably gonna come out sounding like i want y'all to leave, but if you get tired of all the crap going on just TAKE A BREAK. I did, and I'm glad i did because if i hadn't stopped and said "thats enough for a little while" i would have left the MLA out and out.

Take a break from the MLA, get off AIM for a few days, and just work on something you want to do. I spent my hiatus typing on the llama-X roadmap, because that was something i have wanted to do for a while now. Not talking online and checking forums, etc. provided me with the opportunity to get stuff done, just surf the web pointlessly, and do NON-COMPUTER stuff. (playing guitar, drums, etc.)

You've got lots of ideas; try stepping away from AIM and the MLA and fleshing some of them out. It will work wonders for you, as it did for me.

that's good advice llama, when I actually get OSX server for my project, I'll probably take a day or two from MLA and my main AIM SN so as I can deal with the 7300 and OSX and my server project....
