There are some people around here with a Macintosh Classic that they just love to death but the display is borked. It looks to me like the CRT is still good, but the logic board is bad maybe? When you start it up all sounds normal but the display is all distorted. Any ideas on what is causing this problem? There are some Mac Plusses that I might be able to have access to for parts if any of those would help.
I was also wondering if the video display boards and things in the Mac Plus were the same as in the Mac Classic should i need to try to replace parts.

Sounds like you have seriously borked up video circuitry on the logic board. And no, unfortunately the Mac Plus parts won't help. I believe the Classic uses a different video system to the Plus, and besides, the plug won't fit.

I believe that the problem might be in the "inverterboard" or whatever it's called... there's another board too but I forgot what it was called... the something board

Analog board: That big one that stands vertical on the side and powers the computer and display
Video board: That one on the neck of the CRT
Logic board: That one on the bottom that has the RAM, ROM, CPU, PRAM battery, graphics chip, and all that.
