I am wondering what good Unix backup tools there are for the Mac platform. Specifically one where I can save entire Partition structure for a restore later. Like Ghost but for the Mac. Sadly because Unix is not HFS, I can't use Disk Copy, plus Unix has swap partitions etc.
Anything out there? Basically I want to create a valid snapshot of my config so if anything goes messy, I don't have to wrestle with my Mac getting it to re-install Unix all over.

I'm faced with the same dilemna. I've asked around at work a bit and one person (heavy Linux advocate) recommended Mondo (http://www.microwerks.net/~hugo/) and although it's not related to 68k's, it may be a place to start. I'm going to look into it in the next few days myself. I'm hoping that if I'm able to mount my HFS partition, then perhaps Mondo will be able to back it up. We'll see.

on A/UX comes with RetroSpect... but I'm not sure if that'll do what you want..
if there is such a thing I'd be happy to see it too!
