thank you, this is what I want to do:
http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/se30_pds_multiple.html#3egs
o.k., I know now that this is possible, but the image confuses me: does that mean I have to get my hands on an Asante ethernet card that has a PDS passt-through (that's how it looks like on the illustration?)
I have the following card which does NOT have a pass-through on it: "Asante MacCon+ TK/TO Rev B"
to sum it up, am I right assuming that I need the following items to sucessfully make this installation?
- Micron XCEED Color 30 Video Card
- greyscale adapter to connect the video card to the internal screen
- an Asante ethernet card with a pass-through PDS
- an 120 pin right angle connector
is this the only way of having both internal greyscale AND internal ethernet?
it might be easier to wait for an SE/30 that already has the internal greyscale vid installed and opt for the external SCSI-to-ethernet box...
additional thoughts from someone on this topic please?
thanks
