This is the 2700th post! it's not as important as numbers like 2000 and 3000... but it's a nice RollOver and has taken me long enough because of "issues" with updating OSX and downloading things... (IE: I've been posting less) (*bet you couldn't tell eh?)

anyone else having any nice new RollOvers?

seriously though, ive complained about it before and nobody gets it, postcount is not an Arms Race, its just a measure of your contribution. it should be secondary; a result of your posts rather than posting to increase your postcount.

if you have 43 kajillion posts of "me too" and somebody else has 100 posts that are each book-length, which one is a more valuable forum member? think about that before we kick off The 68kMLA Monthly Postcount++ Festival...

EDIT: I am hereby revoking all licenses issued for the Token Worthless Post until further notices. Any Post Pirates making unauthorized Token Worthless Posts will be vaporized by Eugene the Space Llama as they sleep. I will sell the rights to the T.W.P. to the highest bidder. i'm very sick of the postcount++ too... i always try to make sure my posts have something valuable in them before i post... it kinda bothers me that postcount has become a race here.

heres something to consider: ive been an MLA member for 15 months. I have 350 or so posts. Cory has been a member for 12 months. he has 2800. see what i mean?

well think about this.... the day I got to 2700, I calculated my average to be about 7 posts per day... I haven't done that for the "older" members... but I bet it comes to something similar, if not higher (older and more postcount)

remember... if I've done anything to offend, than it's probably something that not only I am involved in... You yorself, llamaboy, credit yourself with this "postcount++" crap and I feel offended that you'd get sick of it... and then do this what seems like an attack on me, and my loud mouth...

YES, I have alot to say, and feel that a high percentage of my posts are worth something....

If anyone... take a look at ML5... of howevermany replies to this topic... at least 2 of his are just "postcount++"

it wasnt a personal attack on you... if you feel that way, im sorry...

i dont credit myself with the postcount++ stuff, i just said "token worthless post" once or twice. I never thought it'd go on this long...

i dont want mass flamewar to erupt so i'll end it there. this all results from conversations ive had with many "old guys" of the mla who arent so active anymore... who i may be joining soon.

yes, I did take it personally, you didn't seem to compare ML5's or Cinemo's posts to the time that they've been here... I'm almost certain that many of the veterans have had many "silly posts" useless posts and other things...

I do try to keep my posts longer than 2 words, an emoticon or things like that... but I have alot to say, and I have alot of spare time... so YES I do post alot...
