Hi,

I'm loking for a solution to use my PPC Software on my PC because my Mac won't resucite any more (an all in one Mac, with G3 Upgrade with the monitor crashed down).

I can't use all my Mac software, and all my music (mp3) is in Diskcopy images.

I would apreciate any help, please, email me to:

It can't be done. But you can emulat a 68k mac with basilisk and open diskcopy images and run FAT binaries. BTW you probably should have posted this in the balloon help area even though technically this is 68k mac forum anyway.

Well, If Microcode Solutions ever comes out with the Windows version of their FusionPPC emulator (currently it runs only on the AmigaONE) then you can. Of course, emulators.com has been claiming they're releasing one too... Until then, no PPC in emulation. I'd recommend buying a 7x00 series PM and using that for basic PPC software.

sorry... but that fusionPPC on AmigaONE...

well let's just say that AmigaONE IS a PowerPC so it can run PowerPC stuff natively... just needs to have a "porthole" for which the MacOS ROM can be loaded from disk and the other special mac hardware can be emulated...

it's not really emulation if it's on AmigaONE

Darek from Emulators is not to be trusted, he codes crap and he already scraped his PPC project. Basically PPC emulation isn't too feasible given prices of used PPC macs today. If you go on ebay you can always find used 71xx,72xx,73xx, etc etc macs for dirt cheap, and you might even be able to swap parts with your dead one.

So, yeah PPC emulation isn't going anywhere, trust me, we have been waiting for over 2 years.

It's like Lismore software, it was considered vapourware untill finally a product appeared but when it did appear it was horrible.
