Why is it that everyone says that Colour Classics are so hard to find? In the last 8 years of using Macs, i've seen quite a few of them make their way past me. I've used a couple as well. They are road apples, for sure. But trust me, they are nice machines.

I got a Color Classic about a year ago exactly. I love it. But I don't use it much... Been wanting to replace the DaughterBoard with a higher up LC board. With an '040. Wish I could also bump my res to 640x480 so I could then play DOOM. On a Color Classic!

Now you've seen one. And it looks insane. Insanely great, that is! Or maybe not.

What I ment was that I have never seen them in thier up close and personal glory. I've seen them many times before on eBay.

more form than fuction, in my opinion.
(16 Mhz 68030 on 16 bit bus [68030 was 32 bit processor] / 10mb RAM limit / 512x384 screen)

dream ColorClassic:
LC 575 mobo w/ max ram, vram & full '040
that thingy that goes over the graphics chip and lets you connect an external monitor ("Power R Presenter"?)
>500 Mb HD
640 x 480 screen hack

You can hack the CC monitor to get 640x480.

I've never used a color classic either......though I remember reading some really cool things about them. The New York Times' Circuits section had an article about rabid fans who upgraded their CC's to G3. There is also this guy: http://applefritter.com/hacks/ccg4/index.html
