Today I was lucky enought to pickup some machines before they got sent to the dump.
I got a Duo 230 that dosn't seem to want to run, a Duo 250 that runs fine but its battery may be dead. For these two I grabed a Duo Dock II.
I also got a LCIII w/o HD and CPU ): and a Macintosh IIci again w/o HD.

Nice rescue! Duo's are so fun and small. And the passive gray-scale screen of the Duo 230 works well in sunlight. Enjoy!

Actually . . . that'd be the ACTIVE matrix on the 250 that'd be excellent in sunlight, IIRC.

Perhaps you are right. All I know is that I can turn off the backlight on either my Outbound Notebook or my Duo 230 when the light is strong enough. I've also read about Portable and PB 100 users being able to use their machines outside.

But if the 250 is even better, then iWant one.

Nice haul! Duo's rock! You should see if you can get that 230 working.

I've made some progress with it, I'm thinking it has a loose power plug, I've been able to boot it in the dock once and with my power adapter (took some coaxing with the plug.) But the 250 is in far better shape cosmetically and it boots just fine, the battery holds a charge pretty well too.
