Long time lurker here...

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone and say a bit about myself. Decided to switch to Apple in 2000 with the purchase of a TiBook. Shortly thereafter I bought an LCII and from there the 68k obsession grew!

My favorite Mac is certainly the classic, and if it wasn't for graphical web browsing, I'd have that as the only computer on my desk! I'm just a Compact Mac fanatic.

I've got a Plus and a Classic and am on the lookout for more. I'd buy a pallet of Compact Macs if I could find them. It seems in S. Florida older macs are quite uncommon.

In addition, I'm currently trying to teach myself realBasic programming with the help of the RealBasic University on-line course at www.applelinks.com/rbu.

Anyways... Hello to everyone!

Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy your stay with this crazy bunch!
Compact macs are fun, and mystics and other weird hacks and upgrades aare usually completely awesome too.

Hey there! Welcome to the 68kMLA, from one new member to another . I've only been here for about 2 weeks . I started out on a Color Classic in 1993, and I've always liked compact Macs. There's just something about them; personality I think you'd call it .Go to Top of Page

Welcome.

It's always good to have more mac users here, we can never have enough.

As for Classics they seem too bulky for me, I never was into that sort of thing, I wanted looks and performance, which is why my 840AV suits me nice. Tall, strong, powerfull everything you want in a Mac.

Welcome, macclassic! I like compacts too, but i like the LC series machines even better. The LC475 is like a nice chick: Slim, hot (if you load it up with a big HD and a full OC'd '040), and damn nice!

hehehe... well I'll unbork it then...

you just have to point me in the direction of the offending "it" and I'll get to unborking and/or fixing (depending on who you are and what you know about me)
