I'm trying to find the battery that will fit in the compartment of a Mac Plus. It's a 4.5 v that looks like a AA with the + pole cut off; it's also a little wider in diameter. I ordered one from Radio Shack, but sure enough, they sent the wrong one. So, I'm looking for alternatives in the event that it's actually discontinued.

I think Gamba might have more information on this topic on his website. I do know that this particular battery has been discontinued. Suggestions are to jury rig a battery from several cells (there is a sample out there - can't remember where -sorry) or find another Plus that has a working battery
