I've been digging around in the "Home of the Underdogs" site (which totally rocks!), and one of the descriptions of a game listed there reminded me of a (totally unrelated) game I used to have on my first Mac - I don't remember the name of the the game (hence this posting!), but the basic premise was that you would create your own virtual robot, and then pit your 'bot agains others in a sort of arena setting. As I recall, it had an amazingly deep programming language for creating your 'bots AI, and I seem to remember hearing that there was an active online community centered around developing custom bots for the program... Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? I'd sure love to find that cool game again! Thanks, SpaceBoyOfficial MLA Raconteur AppleBASIC FOREVER! That reminds me. Back when i used a Mac for the first time ever, in grade 3, I played this game on the LCII i was using, and it was a compact Mac type game, i think based in NYC, with something about a dog and a guy outside the building. I can't remember anything else, but i think it would be nice to get a copy of the first Mac program I ever used. Thanks if you can make out what i'm talking about."**** em" - Jobs in regards to customers Warrior maclover5 68kMLA Official 68kMLA Detective Number of 68ks Liberated: 7 Number of Contraband (PPC) Liberated from the Dumpster: 1 |

I seem to have answered my own question! The game I was thinking about is called "RoboWar", according to the allmighty Google. So.... have any of you ever played it? :-) SpaceBoyOfficial MLA Raconteur AppleBASIC FOREVER! Hey, I remember that game. I may even still have a copy of it somewhere. If I remember correctly, it came with a bunch of bots that had been made by users, the coolest one was called "Pearl". It would go in a loop one pixel away from the inside perimeter of the arena, firing thousands of shots that would damage everything inside. Now, I need to go unearth that game...
