Any way to get my quadra to record video straight onto cd?
I know it's unlikley.
I tried to use toast to mount the cdr that was in my cdr drive, but it wont mount it.

Nah. You can use Video Player to record to the hard drive and then use Toast to burn it to a CD, but you can't go straight to the CD AFAIK.

You would need to write a piece of software that could take an input stream from a video source and format it as a file system with a file in it and send the resulting stream to the cd burner at your selected burn speed.
