Just wondering...I've seen this prefix a lot, but I've always wondered what it means. "**** em" - Jobs in regards to customers Warrior maclover5 68kMLA Official 68kMLA Detective Number of 68ks Liberated: 7 Number of Contraband (PPC) Liberated from the Dumpster: 1 |

I actually asked a couple german people about this. The one person says you use it normal language like above and over. Like my head is above and over (über) my shoulders... I asked another guy and he agreed with that but says it relates the German philospher Nietze. Nietze had some kind idea of the super-man or better man. So when you see it as a prefix it's like super, I've seen über-geek. So he'd be the super geek, or the better geek. I know your pain, I couldn't figure it out myself. And why is Germany called Deutschland but people from the Netherlands call themeselves Dutch?. I can answer that...(being dutch) "deutcsheland" is actually pronounced "doy-tsh-land" and of course... (I'm dutch so it's "because I can!!!") "Wiegersma" (last name) 3 guesses at how to pronounce it... Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life"

What?, I don't get it. Germany=Deustchland, from Holland=Dutch. Is there a shared heritage or something. You just said how to pronounce it. My guess, Wiegersma= Vee-gersh-mo Editor of the printed word, Ministry of 68k Truths (mini6) ------------------ PowerCD, Mac HD 20, SE, Classic II, IIx, IIvi, PB 170, LC 475, LC 575, Quadra 650, Performa 5200, iMac 333 How you like d'em apples?! |
