Last night, most of the cars in my street got broken into, and quite a lot was stolen
However, when i was on my way to the bus stop this morning for school, I found an Alcatel Mobile just laying on the ground (in the rain ). My thought were that the theives just through it away because it had no sim card, and because its alcatel (quite a cheap brand of phone).
However, when I put the battery in, the screen lights up slightly, but it wont turn on. Is this because it has no sim card, or is the phone just "stuffd" because it was in the rain?

Cheers

Did you let it fully dry out before turning it on? Did you remove the battery when it was drying out? If not, its probably stuffed. But before ditching it, you should try a SIM card, just in case. Try googling the manaul and see what it does without a SIM card. I'm not sure about Alcatel fones, but i know that Phillips ones display an error saying "No SIM card" or something along those lines.

Good luck!

Alcatel is quite a good brand of phones, their high end models are very nice, but mainly only available in europe...

I think that the Alcatel will work wehn dried, it did when i wet my old crapo Alcatel.
