I'm playing around with my new favorite toy, a Performa 631 and am trying to see if I can get the CommSlot modem from a 6300 to work in it.I vaguely remember a while back about some simple commands that, when typed into a ClarisWorks communication document, could check the modem's status, etc... ...anyone? -------------------- master of the Quadra/Centris Stick of Justice™ and figure-head of the Peoples' PDS Republic -------------------- |

I hope you know that those CommSlot modems bog down the CPU, as they are partly a software modem."**** em" - Jobs in regards to customers Warrior maclover5 68kMLA Official 68kMLA Detective Number of 68ks Liberated: 7 Number of Contraband (PPC) Liberated from the Dumpster: 1 |

Because most modems are Hayes compatible, I would try the Hayes command set. See:http://fan.nb.ca/cfn/info/help/com-prog/modemcommandslist.html Just remember to type "AT" in front of every command.
