Alright, I'm new to this Mac thing and this is starting to frustrate me. Why, when I unStuff some archives, do I get a .ds_store file and nothing else? What am I doing wrong? =( Is there something I should be doing with this file?Forgive me if this is a bloody stupid question, but... *points to n00b sticker on forehead* --- What's the ugliest part of your body? |

.DS_Store is the file that mac os x uses to find icon positions in its windows, all is fine if you delete it.-danny You! What PLANET is this! -- McCoy, "The City on the Edge of Forever", stardate 3134.0 ------- 68k Macintosh Liberation Army 68k Macs Liberated: 3 |

Running 8.1 on an LC475. =)And it wasn't the fact that .ds_store was showing up -- it was the *only* thing that was being extracted. =D It was weird, because I *was* extracting it using Stuffit Expandeer 5.5. I think somehow when I installed Netscape 3 on there, its expander plugin pooched something up. But it's all good now. --- What's the ugliest part of your body? |

There are issues between the versions of suffit. Maybe a longtime suffit vet can explain. I generally use three versions of stuffit, 3,5,7. One of them will normally open the file.emaq123 SE/30 and system 6.0.8 Now we're talking POWER! |
