The trouble is I just don't know. Before I quit the job I was working at for the last two months, I was doing survey and service calls to the customers of car dealership service departments. Anyway, one of the people I called was a William Atkinson, who had brought his Cadillac in to Cadillac of Menlo Park, which is near Palo Alto and just a hop, skip and a jump north of Cupertino. Could this have been the Bill Atkinson?

I had written down his phone number and address, but I've lost them so I have no way to tell. Anybody with any inside info as to where the Bill Atkinson of Apple fame lives might be able to confirm...

Oh and just for the heck of it, I really did talk to Gary Coleman. He bought a car at Miller Mitsubishi in Van Nuys and said he couldn't afford to come in for service.

Only one of the key, founding programmers of Apple's original Macintosh OS and the creator of MacPaint and HyperCard! Just take a look here.

Oh and by the way, before I wasn't sure how old Bill was, but now that I look at that pic on Apple's site, I'm positive that it really was him that I talked to!!!

I know another person involved with the Macintosh Project, Jef Raskin. It ends up, he graduated from the same High School I did (Sonderling High School, Brentwood, NY), 40 years before me.

Next time you chat with the ask them what they think of the latest generation of macs compared to what they did on the original.

I wonder what machines they run at home

you can bet that they have the macs they worked on long ago!

but i bet that they might have macs still now... possibly they still use macs, maybe they've taken a liking to SGI and Sun workstations...

Maybe steve-o made them so mad that the highest-tech they use is microwaves....

Apple should get of their asses and make a killer workstation that can command the prices they are trying to get for their slow g4's.

The original mac had the best GUI of the time, the IIfx was a killer unix workstation (pricey as hell but built for government contract so you know!)the 840AV was a powerhouse for its time. What have they done recently? Ever since the pentium 2 the PC has had more power then the macs.

If I had to guess the old apple designers are using OSX on a dual g4 or have sun/SGI machines if they do computer work plus a few old macs and a NEXT machine in storage.
