Although ML5 and Cory both seem to have excessively high postcounts, they do post when something is worth posting, not just to raise thier postcount.

Oh, and yes... postcount++;

i remember back in the day, when this forum was young. I once created a topic to raise my postcount to 50 so I could have the green star. LOL, it was like 9 posts. Then LeeMac got pissed at me for it. I recived a stern repremand. It seems the moderators are letting things run wild while I was away.

LOL ask Lee. Or if the post is still there check it. He was mad because he had to individually delete all my "extra" posts. He also threatened to get my beloved green star taken away. BTW for all you newer members, this was before I was "Mod'ed" by the King of Nubus city, and his fellow parlement of mods.

I only feel new because of all the people older than me who sometimes come back

why would I want to raise me post count?

well I actually don't do what alot of people say... I post, but when I post it has value....

Usually my 2¢

Yeah, thing have somewhat slid in the beginning. If we were to be as dilligent at moderating like back then, there would be more people disliking the mods and level of moderation (example would be the anti-fritter bunch, who think AppleFritter is overmoderated). On the other hand, we don't let everything fly. Basicly, as a general statement (can't say it holds true for all mods):

1) if the entire thread is completely pointless, just to raise postcount
2) if the topic or discussion within is offensive or is outside of the "family forum" atmosphere
3) the topic or discussion is of a derogitory nature, putting down another 68KMLA member, other forum member, or other forum (aka, flame war about person/forum)

the thread will be locked/censored/deleted accordingly.

Generally, the many peoples of the MLA are a good bunch, and fairly self-moderating. The bad apples of the group are delt with accordingly. (They are taken to an abandoned field and beaten with Sticks of Justice while being tied up with Ropes of Mystery. Fun times...)

The main reason why this topic isn't shut down yet is because it has content, not filled up with postcount-inflating, single word posts (like ML5's).

yess.... very very "contenty"
WHAT A HUGE SIGNATURE BTW

I think that part of the reason we behave so well here... is because we have the freedom, and there isn't any fun in breaking the rules... so we just basically be good...

There does seem to be an air of casualness (if thats a word) about this forum over others. It is a nice change, to come here and just kinda "hang out".

God knows. Btw, i'm on my 2891th post. Personally though, i'd say that you get 6 stars at 5000, rather than 3,000.
