yeah.... they are really good for TV and all sorts of junk... I'd put a /300 mobo in there from a 6500 and have an UberBETTER system (nearly betterer original )

The TAM already has the 50 MHz mobo, same one as the 6500.

but a TAM is only a /250... that extra 50 MHz behind the bus makes all that difference!

But the bus speed is exactly the same on both boards! Its just the CPU speed that's different.

I used one once. They are the coolest machines. I just wish I could afford/justify buying one. *sigh* but alas... I cannot.

subwoofer..

yeah I know about bus/proc speeds ML5... but I would like to have the /300 mobo just because

Does the TAM even use the same draw type mobo design as the 6500? I've always wondered as to whether it does.

same draw?

well anyway I've always been under the impression what the TAM used exactly the same motherboard....

if not that would put a wee bit of a damper on me huge plans to upgrade it with a motherboard I don't even have

Are you sure? I thought it was the same, I've never heard that it was different. For what it's worth, it has the exact same specs, ROM versions etc. according to AppleSpec. If it's just that it's a different part number, that's probably just the difference in drawer face/riser like 6360/6400 have different part numbers but are really the same mobo.

It looks impressive, but I wouldnt want to use one for a day to day computer.. and the keyboard looks like a notebook reject.

The TAM is also based on the "Gazelle" logic board, and is overall a similar configuration to the Power Macintosh 6500. "This leads us to believe, if and when we do release something for the 6500, it should work with the TAM."
