yeah.... they are really good for TV and all sorts of junk... I'd put a /300 mobo in there from a 6500 and have an UberBETTER system (nearly betterer original )Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life"

The TAM already has the 50 MHz mobo, same one as the 6500.jt ™. Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |

but a TAM is only a /250... that extra 50 MHz behind the bus makes all that difference!Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life"

But the bus speed is exactly the same on both boards! Its just the CPU speed that's different.-------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 7 Number of Contraband (PPC) Liberated from the Dumpster: 1 |

I would probably use the 7300 general purpose but use the TAM for music/movies and stuff like that.... subwoofer.. yeah I know about bus/proc speeds ML5... but I would like to have the /300 mobo just because Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life"

Does the TAM even use the same draw type mobo design as the 6500? I've always wondered as to whether it does.-------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 7 Number of Contraband (PPC) Liberated from the Dumpster: 1 |

same draw?well anyway I've always been under the impression what the TAM used exactly the same motherboard.... if not that would put a wee bit of a damper on me huge plans to upgrade it with a motherboard I don't even have Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life"

Are you sure? I thought it was the same, I've never heard that it was different. For what it's worth, it has the exact same specs, ROM versions etc. according to AppleSpec. If it's just that it's a different part number, that's probably just the difference in drawer face/riser like 6360/6400 have different part numbers but are really the same mobo.jt ™. It looks impressive, but I wouldnt want to use one for a day to day computer.. and the keyboard looks like a notebook reject.

http://www.mac-upgrade.com/features/vpowerpf.htmlquote: The TAM is also based on the "Gazelle" logic board, and is overall a similar configuration to the Power Macintosh 6500. "This leads us to believe, if and when we do release something for the 6500, it should work with the TAM."
