If anyone is looking for old software or has some to donate, all my archives have been transfered to a new server where they are being kept.

It's almost 6-8GB worth of 68k software most of it abandonware...

If you are looking for something let me know or if you would like to donate something. I can't offer direct download access because well, it never works out with just one machine. So, people can just take the effort to e-mail me then I will e-mail back what they want. :)

Cool! Dumb question, but is it possible for you to provide HTTP/HTTPS/FTP access to those who are unable to get onto hotline? For some reason all P2P services are blocked on the uni network.

Read above, there is no direct access.

I can e-mail or send via Instant Messenger, but there is no direct access.

I will get a list ready.

Depending how things work I may reserect a hotline server for archive access. Post in this thread and if enough people say they want a server up, I will put one up with a fair 4GB of 68k stuff. Sound good? (like if a good 5-10 folks say yes then i will)

:)

so sorry... but there was never a version of MS access for macs...

you'll find that "FileMaker Pro" exists on the macintosh...

do you use access or just think it'd be nice to have it?

macs have PowerPoint though

Yes

I also have a small personal archive (roughly 1 GB) of software that I've collected over the years. I'm not sure if I have anything you don't, but if so I would be happy to send you the ones you want. Most are freeware/abandonware, but I will have to go through them since some are actual commercial titles, in which case I couldn't send them .Go to Top of Page

Right now I saved everything to CD and am just restting up my network. I'm busy now with summer break, the kids want to do more stuff and I am spending time with friends so I probably won't have as much time to do archives, so please don't be mad if I don't reply that quickly to e-mails etc.

Damn... MSN, being the nice people they are, block Hotline servers.

Oh well,

When my new server goes back up it will be http downloads, not hotline, so anyone no matter what ISp they use can get 'em.

If I recall correctly there was also an FTP server at one time. Does anyone know where this server went? If it's still around, where is it?

I had run a ftp server. But I found that http works better due to the fact that anyone can get to it easier, since no-one blocks http traffic unless they have a good reason or they are pleading insanity.

Da Penguin has ftp access for his server.
