This isnt realy a "for sale" thread, hence not in the trading post. However if anyone here can help me out, it would be VERY much appriciated, and I will ive them %10 if it is a good deal.I Recently came into possession of two tape drives. One of them is an HP SureStore 24x6, and the other is a Seagate Scorpion model# STL696000N (with the added 4 tape magazine reader). If you go and look these up, you can easily see that they both retail for close to $1000+. I have seen the HP go on ebay a few times for around $500, but have yet to see the same model Seagate go. Anyhow, to my point. I need to sell these things as I have absolutely no use for them. If anybody knows anyone that is looking for drives like this, and you think they may be interested, let me know. So far I am asking $500 for the HP (including shipping to 48states), and $850 for the Seagate (same shipping arrangements). I also have over 200 DDS3 tapes as well. Thanks guys, and i hope this isn't too far offtopic. ~The Penguin **| Want free 68kmla email? I wouldn't ask 10% for... yeah but anyway... If there's one that's lessor value sell it for as much as you can... and whatever one you got more tapes for Especially if you have a computer on which they'll work Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide "I'm just a normal computer geek who somehow landed a social life"

EBAY is the way to go. Very few enthusiasts will pay $850 for a used tape backup with no warranty that retails for $1000. I HOPE these drives havnt walked of a job site somewhere if you know what I mean.
