Although my favorite Mac is the Mac II line, the Classic/SE/ect follows close. Mostly because they're fairly portable. Since I don't have a laptop, my Classic is good for trips to the libary (hey, I can't read my own note writing, all right).

And nice for car trips I take to other cities. I can still check email and write papers for work. And I save $1000.00 on a laptop I really don't need except once in a while.

I'm with you, totally. Those compact macs were great looking machines, and in my opinion, much better looking than the iMac all in ones that took their place a decade later.

And the best looking of them all was the Color Classic.

Personally, I like the iMacs. However, the older Mac Classic is actually fairly portable. From room to room, or like I said, on car trips.

The portability hit me when I saw one being used at a local library. The owner brought it to take notes or work on a paper.

Seems like that would be a "poor man's laptop" of sorts.

Did I mention a Classic was my first Mac? Had alot of fun on that computer. I believe I used it on compuserve. Played games, wrote paper, ect, ect.

Alas, the HD crashed, I need to find a replacement.
