One thing that I have been thinking about lately, is how a lot of the people who helped start the 68kMLA haven't been seen for ages. Here they areL

Listed are probable reason for why specific members left. I don't know all of them, but I do remember some of them.

MacScuzzy: hasn't been seen online due to ISP provider problems. Status unknown (recently seen on AIM though)

benightedbastard: Was in MLA for like one week, left probably due to lack of interest

Graphite Goodness: left after having fights with TiMacLover and conflict over Big@ssLot

amanda00: one of the original ladies of the MLA (Dana's the other)... Missing in Action

LeeMac: gave in leave of absence in War Room.

Tallgeese: mentioned a long time ago a leave of absence due to school/life. Hasn't come back (is quite active on MAF)

thelip: seen often on AIM. Probably left due to lack of interest

TiMacLover: left due to differences with MLA members.

cinemafia: life getting in his way (or maybe his daughter...)

[edit - forgot to remove ~Coxy of the list]

Wow, it seems that everyone I used to know from here, when I first got into these boards has vanished... Oh well time to meet some new people I guess.

Also, look at the moderators that have seemed to disappear...

~Coxy: MIA, 5/3/03
Cinemafia: MIA, 4/14/03
MacLover5:Active
Trash80toG-4:Active
FireWire is Fast:Active
Danamania:Active
Marchie:Active
Captain Z:Active
Christophillis:Active
LeeMac:MIA, 2/28/03
Skamen:MIA, 4/2/02
MacScuzzy:MIA, 9/27/02

There was something I brought up to the other mods in the War Room about possibly taking MacScuzzy, Skamen, and Christophillis (when he was inactive) all off active moderation, and replaced with other worthy members of the forum. Unfortunetly, although everyone who replied liked the idea, no action was taken, and the topic hasn't been touched upon since it fell of track months ago.

I recently spoke with MacScuzzy via AIM. As it turns out he doesn't even have PHONE SERVICE!!! An ISP mixup cost him lots of money on his phone bill that he couldn't pay aparently and now is without ISP or phone service. Its a sad story.

Hmm... ran across this thread over on AppleAddict. Seems to enlighten us as to Cine's recent activities (and one really bad day).

Well, I've been going to www.68kmla.com and not getting in at all.

I googled the name again just now, and got the full lit classics link , so I'm back.

Good point and welcome back! I bet we lost more than a few recruits when the domain name stopped working.

Thanks Captain Z for the link to cinemafia's story.

The best part was his signature over there:
"There are three things in life that bring joy; eating meat, riding meat and putting meat into meat."

Although I don't know exactly what the riding meat part is supposed to mean, it was real funny.Go to Top of Page

I know where Sosumi has been, she's mainly over at Kahloz.net forums now. Still creates all kinds of animated gif's and such on her 68k too.
