 A/UX installation errors???

Recently, a friend of mine attempted to install a A/UX on his LCIII from the boot floppy and CD ROM (onto a formatted 500mb Conner SCSI drive)

However, when installing, the machine freezes with just a grey screen.

Any commments or suggestions?

It's because of the machine he's using. A/UX doesn't support any of the LC series machines.

Making the Macintosh IIsi the premier "flat mac" witht he ability to run A/UX which is exactly why mine needs a vertical sitting stand

sorry about your A/UX woes though... finding a good non-AV quadra or a FPU enabled Mac II would be advisable
