I saw this on eBay (while literally picking at limbs trying to find cool stuff)

and I found 4 checkout stands!!!

for like... $500

now this seems to ME like the PERFECT workstation and storage facility of 68k goods and using them....

I especially like the tilted back portion and the small depression there onthe front (perfect place for either a hugemonitor, ANS700 or an overhead projector )

I found another one... not as interesting but

This one is as interesting, there's 2 of them, but theyre smaller and probably easier to access all of it from one spot. They look like theyre in need of slight cleaning, and $800 is ALOT!
I'd DIY on this one

Yer nice.
I like that workstation.

I just finished my new Mac lab, I have a 4 mtr rectangular oak table running down the wall, and a rack on the other side.
I could definatly use that workstation in my lab!

I could definitely use a lab!

Although... (which one were you talking about?) I'd say that the conveyer belt would get in my way and if I were building one it'd be cheaper/better not to have it

A four lane check system would sure store a bunch of 68k stuff. Of course one of the lanes wouldn't store as much as the other three lanes becuase it would have to be the express lane with "10 items or less."

Might be a cool setup if you mounted either a monitor or a scanner under the glass of the barcode scanner in each lane.

Sounds like you need to get a very big storage shed for all this stuff.

I actually never thought of what to use the glass *(only present on the 4 lanes auciton) for...

I just thought that it'd be my 'writing area' or something... I know I'd probably use the tilty part at the end to catch all my misc. parts that haven't anywhere else to go (yet)
