If you veterans have already seen these, I'll bet the other newbies haven't, I hadn't until today. Gotta love the Japanese, they're huge 68k and mac fans in general mostly because of the typically small footprint of macs combined with their generally pleasing aesthetic. However, their websites are often untranslated, cryptic mazes of random images and text. This link you supplied seems to have some kind of an adapter to use 2.5" IDE drives in Powerbooks previous to the 190 and duos previous to the 2300c (in other words, 68k 'books). I've heard of such an animal but never seen one...wow! 666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Visit my site! I think there are two or three of them, eyes were too tired to count pins. I'll have to print the pics, next door to the shop, my neighbor is a sushi restaurant! I think I had Acard bookmarked at one point, seem to recall a minor performance hit for conversion overhead. It's probably not much worse than IDE-FireWire overhead in an external drive though.jt

Now there's another point I think the early macs have (not that powermacs don't, but we're not here for them :) apart from just plain neatness - good case design. It's one of the reasons I collect them!. Not simply well designed, or just nice looking... or consistently mac-like... but the whole lot... together. Should I start this as a new topic? I think so. dana
