I have been reading through some of the post regarding some group ebay purchases that the 68 KMLA have participated in recent time, and from what I have seen shipping is the main problem. So I give you this offer, if any 68KMLA member ever eeds something shipped from Australia to US (or Canada) I would be capable of doing it for virtually free through my fathers work. They sell truck parts internationally and nobody minds if something us sent with large shipments.

If my low rank worries you this is fine, and if my offer is out of line, just delete this post. I would also be willing to participate in assiting auctions by you guys if someoen in Australia could help. Just letting you know.

Mmm cool. What about Aus -> UK?

Should I start trawling Ebay.au for bargains?!
I could use a Quadra 605.

Around christmas there were lot of Beige G3s for around 60 UKP over here, I was going to send back one to my sister with some spare upgrades i have lying around and she would have had it for 100 UKP all up.

B/W G3 350's can be had for about 200 UKP here regularly, that's probably the best deal on eBay over here but UK prices are catching up. You could justify that though if shipping was free.

For something like a 605 it's simply not worth it. I got my last one for 8 UKP equivelant over here, when you can get a 6100 for under 10 UKP back home I can't imagine prices are significantly lower an it's not worth if for that hassle.

Yeah, but I want one, and they weren't released here (or very limited release if they were). Who wants a shitty 6100 PPC

So if we are talking 8quid + free shipping, then I'm game!

JobF if you're sure i can get you one for 8 UKP plus postage whenever you want, i don't think it would have any extra ram so only 4MB on board, basically stock. I could probably throw in a 33 LC040 for and call it an even 10 UKP, contact me by email

EDIT - OK forgot, you'd have to pay for the postage from me to fredorenko wherever he is, I'm in melbourne, it should be much but I could see what the costage would be from here to the straight to the UK if it's less hassle

Yeah, sounds like it. Are you planning to use the original keyboard for the IIe?

Actually, I want a IIe platinum, and I was going to use the original Apple USB keyboard in the same space as the IIe plat keyboard
