I have seen the light, it is ATX and comes in 3 colors.

That cool company Alienware makes it....

AND APPLE NEEDS IT!!!

Personally, I think that this
http://www.alienware.com/sub_pages/alienware_case.aspx
is one of the best cases ever.

I want a fleet of greenies running darwin with a window system

Impressive, but ugly, unless you like BEMs.

(That's an obscure literary reference for you kids.)

I, personally, like it and would definitely use it to house my own PEESEE or even macintosh guts. I can imagine though, that either the case alone isn't for sale, or is a wee bit expensive for my *ahem* taste.

Looks so cool though.

p.s. This case is just another example of beauty (and butt ugliness!) being in the eye of the beholder! This one seems a little farther from the beauty end of things for my tastes.

BEM... hmm....

Kinda like falling out of Boo Radley's apple tree eh? I still want to finish reading the book To Kill A Mockingbird. We were reading it in English before I had to leave to AZ.

Ahhhh! Bug Eyed Monsters!

Alienware brand name seems fitting as that case looks like GigerWare!

Don't ask me why, but that green one reminds me of a HSV.

It looks like a fricking air cleaner, like that Ionic Breeze they're always advertising on the TV.

It's about time Apple used an "Air Cleaner" case design for Macs, that's what the lil' suckers spend all the time they're plugged in doing . . . collecting dust!

Just stick a paper-towel on whatever intake vents you want to filter from and probably change the towel once a week :P alot of the visible particles in the air will be gone

I also think that this'd make a great new enclosure (some aprts of it at least) for Apple.... they've been using the same one with almost no modification to the shape/size for a LONG TIME.

. . . but the "tower" design is NOT butt-ugly!

The alien case just doesn't appeal to me, tho I can see why you like it, the Mac designs usually have a broader appeal.

If we can go to a design like that of the 8600 I'd be happy A bit more modern, IE no floppy drive, ect ect.

I just think that if Apple could create a new case that isn't as... OLD as the one they're using even today in the MDD macs....

I liked the BW G3... and the MDD and quicksilver are OK...

A case that has more drive bays, more slot holes and better cooling than the ones we use now would be cool also

What Apple is going to do is make the PowerMac g4's a brushed aluminum appearance so the Powerbooks match the colour.

Everyhting has got to match remember

Just as long as they use a different case. I personally would like to see apple try to slim down the size of at least one of their systems. IE a big model and a small model
