OMG, there's still a "PC" manufacturer from the time when the Altair came out and the Intel 8088 was hot stuff!www.imsai.net -------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 7

hehehe...Someone should get manufacturing rights to OLD apple machines and start a second run of the 68ks! I call total rights on A/UX, the Quadra 605, the Quadra 840AV, the Quadra 950, the 'Book 190c (with the screen from the 3400 subwoofer and all) among other things Official 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide |

Why cant somebody make a 840av with a 68060 @ 1Ghz and use ddr memory. I think the 68060 is compatible with the code for 68040

Is there a 68060? I didn't know that. How does it compare with PPCs--603s and 604s and Gx?/Mr Lynn The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn’t have a space program. --Larry Niven |

Apple actually used the 68050 in their laser printers but never the 060. I think some Amiga or Atari upgrades did use them though. i wouldn't be surprised if they compare well to the 601's but start flagging around the 603e processor level, well that's my educated guess!-------- LC 2, LC 3, Q605, Perf 638, Colour Classic (160 603e) 6100, 7200, PTP 225 (Quad 604), PM 9600, G4 Cube |

Actually, they used the '060 on the LaserWriters. The '050 doesn't exist.-------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 7
