Its been awhile, this sunday I went to the recycling center and picked up a working Mac IIci with ethernet(future web-server perhaps). I also got a Quadra 605, the IIci is in great shape, the 605 is in great cosmetic shape but it isn't booting right, i turn it it in it chimes, and thats about it, nothing on the monitor, this one has full VRAM and a 16MB stick of RAM, I tried out the HD on my LC and it works fine, any ideas?P.S. I left a 7200/90 and a 7100/66 behind. ::68k: Classic, LC, LC II, Q605, Mac IIsi ::Other: iMac DV SE, PM7500 -200Mhz, PM7200 -75Mhz, Apple //c::

That's the one biggie with 605s and LC475s - 99.999% chance that's a pram battery that's dud, and they mostly don't boot without them Try turning it on, then waiting about 5 seconds, then off and on again quickly. that'll get past the flat battery prob, if that's what it is dana

good find... I'll have to see what's at the local dump and thrift stores and stuff down here... I've mostly kept myself cooped up in the little back room of our travel trailerOfficial 68k videographer Official MLA TourGuide |
