anybody ever tried multiple monitors for a desktop in Linux?
I have 2 video devices (one integrated AGP and the other PCI)
In windows they work harmoniously. I am using Windows XP Pro (don't you go booing me now! It had that non-unicode application language support that i wanted )...
Anyway, I use Mandrake Linux 9.0 my card is apparently supported because it worked once..before i changed the res and it screwed itself up. I just wanted to know if anybody has accomplished this in Linux, Mandrake Linux in peticular.

thanks!

Refresh rates would be the thing I would look out for as well. What exactly are the two cards also? That may help some. Typically there are PLENTY of drivers in the x86 world and linux, long as the card has been out for a couple months to give time to get one.

multiple monitors is a very nice thing, did you check with the producer of your distro if they support multimonitors on different cards and how they do this?

that'd be your first stop I'd say

I have set it up several times.

Every time I have had to manually edit the XF86config file to get it to work.
