vise is a commodore 64 emulator that has been ported to 68k mac. I tried to run turrican on it, it started well. The disk loads(disk image) & the intro"this is the proggy boys"type bussiness works but I only manage to get to the first screen of the game & Mr T dosn't appear:-(

The emulator has a Mhz measure & is supposed to run at 1 MHz(powermac), I fiddled with options & got it running at .590MHz.

Leave the disk cache on(68040)
run without scan refresh & with only 10fps

If anyone gets any good C64 games running let me know.

Often the ROMs you download from the internet are corrupt. It just so happens I downloaded turrican for a Mega Drive Emulator yesterday and it didn't work either. Generally if the ROM will load at all the emulator is fine and it's the ROM thats knackered. See if you can download it from a different site.

www.emulation.net is the source of almost all emulators for the Mac OS
