Anybody have a fairly long SCSI ribbon cable they'd be willing to part with? No place around here seems to have them (the wise fellow at Best Buy asked "Is that something you could use a USB cable for?" Seriously.). I'm looking for one with several connectors on it which would reach easily up to the top level of a beige G3 from the motherboard and connect to at least two devices up there (preferably three, although I can swap things around and put an IDE CD-ROM in there if I have to.)I'd be happy to pay a little something for it, or, if some one has something they'd be interested in, I could probably swap something out of the vast heap of computer crap that follows me everywhere. Thanks! |

Is it a DT or MT beige? If it is a desktop, I got one, otherwise I will have to check my cables in the 8600 to see if it fits **| Want free 68kmla email? Drop me a line |** | Captain, Intelligence Operations / Space Cowboy | | 68khotline.no-ip.org <-- Official Hotline Server |

Actually, I solved my problem by taking tin-snips to part of the metal cage and making a new hole, so my old cable could reach. Brutal but effective. Could Apple have made it a bigger pain in the ass to run SCSI cables up there? Thanks for all the info and offers, though.
