Got a IIsi and a IIcx from the local thriftstore for 5 euros each.

The IIsi is a 5/40, has system 7.6 running, and a Dayna network card which is not installed; I can't find a Network-controlpanel or a Dayna-folder.

The IIcx is a 8/110 with system 7.0 installed. This one has a not installed Network card as well, AND a Daystar accelerator card, with a processor on it that reads "Motorola 68030RC50B". I assume this is a 50Mhz 68030 PowerCard, woohoo! Again, I see no drivers installed for this thing.

As a bonus, I got the complete administration of an advertising company over the years 1997-1999...

Congratulations on the II IIs. Yes, it does sound like you have a 50 MHz 68030 on that Powercard. And networking cards are always a welcome addition to any Mac.

Enjoy your new/old machines,

OOOH, accellerators are a great bounty. My II has a 68030 accellerator, and now I just need to get it working again :)

cool... I have a IIsi and they are nice machines, quiet and certainly a clean internal design. I have wanted a IIci, convertible chassis type machines tickle the senses... but a IIci seems to me a bit harder to manuever the hard and floppy drives, and alot of the internal memory...
but that's just from my own memory of the IIci one of my friends used to own
He had hacked an external CDrom drive by using a really long SCSI cable and extended power cables....

Yes, you have to remove the power supply, and when it comes to removal, IIci/x/Quadra 700 power supplies are EVIL!!!!!!!!!! Trust me i have a Quadra 700 and i know what its like.

I have some DaynaPort software if you need it (it's an installer that suits most of their cards)

cheers

I haven't tried installing the Daynaport yet, but the drivers seem to be available for download
on the Intel-site.
Thanks for the offer anyway...
