 snif. Glorfindel is ailing!

I'm back to PC and (shudder) dialup at home.

Glorfindel (g4 tower) is at the computer hospital. He crashed last week and couldn't find his harddrive.

So, I tried installing a new hard drive but ... he can't find any hard drives! (And his first HD is massively corrupted now. :()

Anyhoo, I also got a post 16/64 error when I did the hardware diagnostic test.

Me, I thought my ATA 100 bus controller was going out.

The tech says the post 16/64 looks like bad cache ram.

Snif!

Okay, Glorfindel is still under warranty, but

DIALUP SUX.

That sounds pretty icky! I hope hes not in the hospital too long, and everything goes well, for both of you!

why are you shuddering at the use of dial-up? what do you usually use?
