I was reading in a post that Alien had been runnin NetBSD on his SE/30, would i be able to do this on my classic? If i can where can i download the version that the Classic can run? I image that it is the same as te version Alien has maybe he can pass it on. Im kinda new to BSD systems is there a included GUI and do i need a mac partition too. I was goin to install NetBSD on my Quadra 610 but it said i need a AU/X full hd or something. Any wayz i think that would rock on my Classic.jeremy "I keep my friends close, but I keep my enemies closer" Napoleon My AOL, AIM Sceen name is got 007s milk Covert Ops N.F.C Newton Force Captain 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Macs Liberated:15 |

umm, you might need a FPU (which I don't think the classic has)FireWire is fast General, 4 star Forum moderator 68k Macintosh Liberation Army |

Yup… The requirements for NetBSD/mac68k are:• 68020, 68030 or 68040 CPU • 68881, 68882 or 68040 built-in FPU • PMMU (built in on 68030 and 68040) So no go on the Classic. You might try running Minix on the Classic, though. ,xtG .tsooJ RTFM |

I don't think that any Unix/Linux distros available for 68ks have GUIs like KDE or GNOME, Timaclover. They probably have the X window system, but otherwise they just have command line interfaces.Wonko The Sane Engineer-in-training 1 Mac Liberated (more to come) |
