I've just rearranged my setup and have now got my 17" SVGA monitor sat on my LC475. Whats the max recommended weight that a pizza box can handle? It seems solid enough..TIA ==== Steve/Jobf ===== Lisa 2, LC475, PB145b, PB160, PB540c, IIsi. |

Those pizzaboxes are plenty strong to hold a 17" monitor. I even stood on one once just to see what it would do. I weigh 245lbs, and the LCII just bent ever so slightly, but no damage was done Artillery Commander/Engineer, 68kMLA Liberated: LCII , III+, IIci, Q700, 800, and 840av, P550, 410 Contraband: Beige G3/300 MT o/c 400mhz, (2) 6100's Keeper of the 68kmla Hotline mirror server: 68k.dyndns.org

245 pounds= 111.13 kg76kg= 167.5 pounds That's why it bent a little when I stood on it Hmmm... Now to see what a 486 desktop can hold.... *sets 486 behind rear wheels of car, hops in, and throws it in reverse* Artillery Commander/Engineer, 68kMLA Liberated: LCII , III+, IIci, Q700, 800, and 840av, P550, 410 Contraband: Beige G3/300 MT o/c 400mhz, (2) 6100's Keeper of the 68kmla Hotline mirror server: 68k.dyndns.org

Thanks for the info guys. I thought it would be OK but I just wanted to be sure.I also came across the official Apple recommendations: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=8300 For an LCIII they recommend 22.7kg. For an LC475 they recommend max 15.9kg(!) Bit of a difference between those and QuadraJets 111.13 kg! I'm suprised at the difference between the LC475 & LCIII figures. And for a 4400 they say 22.7kg. You could sit an elephant on a 4400! Cheers =========== Jobf Lisa 2, LC475, IIsi, PB540c, PB160, PB145b http://jobf.kicks-ass.org

as they use basically the same case (some LCIIIs seem to have the LCII style case (with the shallow slot running the width of the case) ... and some (like mine) have the LC475 style flat fronted case) ... i am surprised too ...Orcadian MLA Division 68ks Liberated: 2 |

fun fun fun... well I am certain that the way I used to use the 840AV sometimes... witht the monitor sitting on top because of the limited desk space... well apple'd hate me if they found out the way I get into stacking their products...Official 68k videographer |
