what do you think, if apple made a single unit mainframe... it'd be like?

can you just imagine a 4 foot wide, 2 foot deep, 7 foot tall Xserve like unit with 128 processors and 512 GB of RAM?

and a little 15" VGA monitor off to the side ona nice little table...

That's not really a mainframe, you know. It's more of a minicomputer.

Maybe we'll see something of the sort (it'd be a blade-server type thing with a high speed bus to connect the units) if the Xserve does well.
