you all know that I moved recently right?this new school is EVIL!!! they are using gateway computers (rant about that later... when I can see more specimens) they have a full 6 period day... anyone from my school would gripe about that... we would have 2 3 period days before.... we had to buy new shirts, that have the logo, not allowed to go to school without it... not enough tech related classes... they won't let me into the appropriated math level... I did 9th grade math in 9th grade and will have to just do that thing where I may not get any credit for this class.....I would be in Algebra II or Trignometry I have to wear their lanierd with an ID card... that's just evil anyway... I signed up for "journalism" but may have to move to a less nice class, in favor of the advanced math, I might also move to honors english... other than that, I already have a history class done, and they don't do health here :( AND THE THING ABOUT THE MATH!!!!!!!! BAH Move to San Pedro, SPHS is a kick-ass school, we have iMacs, and Dells (I know that they lead to drug use, but oh well) We dont have a dress code, except for PE, and that is evil at every school, and our classes are a lot better than what you have anyway, oh and we dont have ID tags. we do have a six-period day though which is OK when you think about it.too bad CCC Lieutennant Commander (Pronounced Leftennant) 68k Macs Rescued: 2 Pluses, a 512KE, a Classic II, a Q650, a Q660AV, and a MacII Contraband rescued: Power Computing PowerBase 200, a PM 8600/300, and a PM8500/180 Apple //s rescued: Apple //e |

As someone who was part of the private school system for 12 years, I have to say that the schools sounds pretty tame. Most of the public schools around here actually make you wear one of the school shirts all the time; we always had to follow our summer/winter uniform rules, based on date rather than mean temperature. ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

~Coxy, are you using american terms or australlian terms?by public school are you referring to state school and by private school, public school? state school == public school in america, government subsidized. public school == private school in america, parented subsidized CCC Lieutennant Commander (Pronounced Leftennant) 68k Macs Rescued: 2 Pluses, a 512KE, a Classic II, a Q650, a Q660AV, and a MacII Contraband rescued: Power Computing PowerBase 200, a PM 8600/300, and a PM8500/180 Apple //s rescued: Apple //e |

Yeah, I think. Public school == state school == government school == largely free. Private school ~= religious school == largely expensive. ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

My high school was pretty evil, too. All of the english labs were full of Classic II's running System 6. Sure, they were Macs, but some of the worst Macs ever made! There was only 1 iMac in the library and it was the fastest computer in the whole school. That was back when the iMac was new, though. The Lightning Stalker Performa 631CD, 7.5.5 LC III, FPU, 20/80/enet, 7.5.5, Mail Server 6400/180 40/1.6G/512k L2/enet/video-in/TV 7600/120 '604/233, 80/1.2G & 1G/512k L2, 9.2.2 (Main Mac) Lady Smith Apples: Apple IIc 5.25" 2 Apple IIe |

my school uses ALL macs, except in the office... we have two iMac labs running os9.2 and all teachers have imacs running jaguar... but its a private school (meaning doubleplusunfree, in Newspeak) but still very nice, the labs are about to jump to jaguar too. and the tech department gave me a Mac SE and ADB keyboard and Mouse (the original ADB mouse) and i might get an original powermac all-in-one out of them someday. ------------- The home of Portals 68k Macs Liberated: 2 ...because no one expects the Spanish Inquisition! urgh! my school annoys me... we just recently started getting macs (65% of which are mine, being put at school to improve PAF, and as an added bonus(s) I don't have to sell them, and I can see them anytime I want!) and all of them are old, dirty, and in desprate need of care... on te IIci we got, the norton defrag map was like colored static, and was obviously not done since the thing was bought. meh. it's all better now. and all of the LCs we got had stupid at ease on them, and appear to have reverted to the way they were beore I did a fresh install on them, which is really impossible!! HGNYAHH! ahh well. our school really doesn't have a dress code. some of my friends would go against it, if it existed, because they are punk ppl. ahh well. back to macs. I have been fighting for macs for a good 3 years, and the admins just hated them (which worked in my favour for a while, because they gave me macs that came to the school, no powermacs, but I did get the very first mac I ever used (yes, I know it's the first one I used, because it's all used and stuff, and I see where a stray flying science weight hit the frint and scratched it.. ahh good times. I remember trying to turn it on, and when I gave up, I started pressing keys on the keyboard, and suddenly... BLONG! happy mac! I played simcity for hours... ahh... good times. life had apoint, the world wasn't quite as screwed up, and I couldn't have cared less.) and my school sucks because NOTHING GETS DONE ABOUT STUFF LIKE DRUGS AND ALCAHOL UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE, AND WHEN THINGS DO GET DONE, IT' S LIKE A 5 DAY SUSPENSION OR SOMETHING WEAK LIKE THAT.... urgh. and my school is supposed to have zero tolerence for bullying and crap like that, but they care more about me using my laptop at lunch (my 230, for those who care) and how "I could be going to porn sites and downloding viruses" even tho it has no way of connecting to the school network, nevermind the net (and the funny thing is they let me use my newton, ethernet connection and all) than the kid who's getting the crap kicked out of him because he touched another kid's yu-gay-ho card or some dumbsh** thing like that. ahh well. it's all downhill from here, because our school has never had to deal with crap like this before, because riffraff from other schools are coming over to our school and drinking and getting high, and things just are not being done. ahh well. the stupid, popular people get everything (this kid in my class is going to get a BRAND NEW 17" POWERBOOK G4 even tho he doesn't deserve it the slightest bit...) and the smart, nice people get crapped on by the universe hourly. and what bus me is that not ONE girl has asked me to be slightly more than a friend... in fact I only have one girl that happens to be my friend, and she's a manic depressent too, so we'll just stay friends... ahh well. apparently I don't deserve it.[TheLandOfNarnia:~] root% STOP THE RANTING!! sending TERM signal to process "Rant-O-Tron" ..............
